1. Introduction. These terms govern the purchase of e-book licences from HQCONTROL Bookstore ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing a licence, you ("the purchaser") agree to these terms.

2. What you purchase. When you buy a book from HQControl, you purchase a licence to access and use that work under the terms set out in the licence section below. You do not acquire ownership of the copyright, nor any right to distribute, share or sublicense the work.

3. Pricing. Prices are stated in the currency shown at the point of sale (typically MYR or USD). Prices may change without notice. Promotional pricing applies only for the duration stated.

4. Payment. Payment is processed through our payment provider at the point of sale. We do not store payment card details.

5. Delivery. Digital products are delivered immediately upon successful payment. You will receive a download link by email. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or contact us.

6. Versions and updates. Each product is published with an edition number and a version number (e.g. Edition 1.0 — September 2026). Minor corrections will be issued as a new version (e.g. Edition 1.1) at no additional cost. A new edition (e.g. Edition 2.0) incorporating substantial new material may be priced separately.

7. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

1. What we collect. When you purchase a book or submit a form, we collect your name, email address, organisation (if provided), and the details necessary to fulfil your order or respond to your enquiry.

2. How we use it. We use your information to process your purchase, deliver your licence, respond to enquiries, and (if you opt in) notify you about new publications and resources.

3. Sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to process your payment (through our payment provider) or as required by law.

4. Retention. We retain purchase records for accounting and licence-verification purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

5. Cookies. This website uses only essential cookies required for site functionality. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

1. Digital products. Because e-books are digital products delivered immediately upon purchase, we do not generally offer refunds once the download link has been accessed.

2. defective products. If a file is corrupted, incomplete or otherwise not as described, we will provide a replacement or refund within 14 days of purchase. Contact us with your order details.

3. Accidental purchase. If you have accidentally purchased the wrong title or licence level, contact us within 7 days. We will assess each case individually.

4. Institutional refunds. Institutional licence refunds are governed by the terms of the individual institutional agreement.

1. What a licence grants. A licence grants the purchaser the non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the e-book for the purposes described in the licence level purchased. It does not grant ownership of the copyright.

2. Individual licence. One named user. The licence is personal to the purchaser and may not be shared, transferred or assigned.

3. Professional team licence. Up to 5 or 10 named users within the same organisation. Users must be identified by name at the point of purchase. Additional users require an upgraded licence.

4. Institutional licence. Company-wide, university or library access, as defined in the institutional agreement. Access may be managed through IP authentication, single sign-on or other means agreed at the point of sale.

5. Prohibited uses. You may not: (a) redistribute, share, sublicense or make the work available to persons not covered by the licence; (b) upload the work to any public or shared file-sharing service; (c) use the work for any purpose other than personal or professional reference; (d) remove or alter any copyright notice, edition marking or metadata embedded in the file.

6. Permitted uses. You may: (a) store the file on personal devices covered by the licence; (b) print a reasonable number of pages for personal reference; (c) quote from the work with appropriate attribution in professional communications, reports and legal submissions.

7. Termination. We reserve the right to revoke a licence if these terms are breached. Upon revocation, you must destroy all copies of the work.

2. Legal currency. Every book states a legal currency date — the date to which the law, cases and authorities have been verified. The law may have changed after that date. Readers are responsible for verifying that the law remains current at the time of use.

3. No warranty. We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the content, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the content.

4. Jurisdiction. The laws discussed in HQControl books are specific to the jurisdictions stated. They may not be applicable in other jurisdictions. Readers must satisfy themselves that the content is relevant to their jurisdiction and legal system.

5. Edition marking. Each downloaded book carries an edition number and version number (e.g. Edition 1.0 — September 2026). Quotations from the work should reference this edition number to ensure the reader is aware which version is being cited.
